Common questions about the MMA Conditioning Coach Certification

How does the initial process work?Brandon Vera
When you register, you will be immediately directed to create your membership account. At that time, you will watch 2 short introduction videos which will officially welcome you to the MMACA, let you know what to expect, and give you detailed instructions how to complete your certification program. You will also receive an email confirming your order.

How long will it take to complete the program?
Seventy (70) hours of study is average. If you have extensive experience in martial arts and/or exercise science, you can likely complete certain aspects of the program more quickly. When you enroll, you will be given a membership account. You will have immediate access to the first part of your curriculum. Each day (over the course of a month) you will be given access to more course materials. You are not required to keep pace with the rate the materials are made available to you. You can always go back through the materials to review as much as needed.

After 30 days, you will be given access to take your certification exam online. There are no additional fees to take your test. If you are not yet ready to test after 30 days, that is okay. You have a total of 120 days following your enrollment in the course before you must test. You are given two attempts to pass the test. If you are still not ready to test after 120 days, you must then pay a testing extension fee of $95. The extension gives you another 90 days to prepare for the test. The test is not timed. The test should take you 2 - 3 hours to complete. If you fail the test after two attempts, you can request a final extension and 2 more attempts. This has a fee of $95.Brandon Vera with the MMA conditioning Association

31 days following your initial enrollment, you will also be given access to the MMACA Inner Circle Membership and all its benefits.

When do I receive my certification?
After you successfully pass your test, we will register you in our database as a Certified MMA Conditioning Coach. It can take up to two weeks for your certification to be mailed to you.

What does the certificate look like?
It is printed on high quality paper with the title of "Certified MMA Conditioning Coach". It has all the professional markings from the MMACA, and the official seal.

Do I have to be a NESTA (parent association) member to qualify to become an MMA Conditioning Coach?
No. In fact, we are going to give you a free NESTA membership for joining the MMACA and becoming certified.

Can I download the video lessons or do I have to watch them within the Inner Circle?

Does it matter where I live? Can I complete the program regardless of my time zone?
Students are accepted from around the world. Due to the advanced online learning system, you will complete your studies at your own pace at a time of the day that works best for you. Lessons and lectures do not require you to watch or listen at any specific time. As a note, our parent association, NESTA, has graduates from over 45 countries.

Do I need liability insurance?
All fitness and martial arts businesses need liability insurance. It is usually very inexpensive. If you are are only teaching fitness and conditioning (with no combat), fitness professional insurance provides coverage. If you are teaching any martial art in conjunction with the fitness and conditioning, additional insurance is needed. Details and insurance options are provided with your program.

Can I read testimonials/reviews from members?
Yes, click here!

What if I teach traditional martial arts (kung-fu, karate, tae kwon do)?
You are absolutely welcome to enroll and benefit from this program. Our intent is to help traditional martial arts schools increase business and profits by offering MMA conditioning programs. We also have many Krav Maga schools who are working with the MMACA.

How would the MMACA coaching curriculum work with my existing programs like IMPACT, boot camp, Crossfit, kettlebells, etc?mma resistance tubing
Your MMA Conditioning Coach Certification is the perfect complement to these types of programs. You will find some similarities and many differences. You will find that some exercises are done in a new way (frequency, technique, intensity). You will also learn dozens of new workouts that are never taught in these types of programs. When you add MMA conditioning to these business models, you will also double your income options.

What if I already have a sports conditioning certification?
This will help you. However, it is important to know that "sports conditioning" is not the same as sport specific conditioning for MMA. The training and conditioning we teach you is highly specific and not taught anywhere else.

Can I receive a group discount for several coaches/trainers at my facility?
We cannot offer any bundle orders. Our program is already at a very low price and we cannot discount it any further.

How much will it cost to start an MMA Conditioning Coach business?
This depends in numerous variables. If you have an existing martial arts school (but no equipment), it could be $200 - $800. If you have an existing business like IMPACT, Adventure Boot Camp, Crossfit, etc, you may not need any additional equipment. If you have a traditional fitness center, you may need to invest in specialized equipment ($300- $1,200). Or, you may already have all that is needed. There are endless ways to conduct your business, and decide what equipment you will use. As for start-up expenses such as a web site, flyers, business cards, etc, this also varies quite a bit. If you have an existing fitness or martial arts business, the costs may be zero to get started. It's just a matter of redesigning and changing your offerings.

The Inner Circle is where you learn how to drastically reduce business expenses, create multiple revenue streams, and leverage your time. The end result is a business that runs on auto-pilot, more free time, and more money in your pocket each week.MMA tire drlls

How does a fitness professional benefit from having an MMA Conditioning Coach Certification and business?
There are several benefits. First, you create a brand new revenue stream. Second, you will have skills that few other fitness trainers have. Third, you can offer "MMA type" conditioning workouts in a group setting and massively increase your income. Fourth, you will be the "IT" trainer because of your cutting edge techniques, business and skills. You will become a stand out!

Is this program only for training elite level athletes?
No! Although you will learn a volumes of information about training high level amateur and pro fighters, much of the program is also dedicated to beginner MMA athletes, as well as those individuals who MMA sled trainingsimply want a great unique, high-level workout. Program design is a big component of the curriculum.

Is the CMMACC program more about coaching or training?
We define coaching as providing guidance, motivation, mentorship and support. We define training as the development and implementation of the physical conditioning program. The MMACA will teach you both.

The MMACA does not instruct or certify coaches in specific fighting strategies or styles. Fighting demonstrations are given in videos to show application of a specific training/conditioning technique or theory.
